I'm a poet and teacher in Prince George, BC. My first two books of poetry, "understories" and "This Isn't the Apocalypse We Hoped For" were published by Caitlin Press. My most recent book is called "Undiscovered Country", through Mother Tongue Publishing (Fall, 2018). I also have three chapbooks: "Deerness", "Four Neat Holes" and "The Picket Fence Diaries." My poems have been published in The Malahat Review, GRAIN, CV2, Event, subTerrain, and in various anthologies, including Rocksalt, 4 Poets, & The Best Canadian Poems, 2011.

The Sky Canoe

The Sky Canoe, a video-poem made in collaboration with Phil Morrison, Steph St Laurent, and Jeremy Stewart, has been accepted into the Visible Verse festival in Vancouver. Check here for the schedule and other details; it'll be screened in PG on Oct 11th at UNBC & in Vancouver on Oct 13th

Summer, 2012

The edits for This Isn't the Apocalypse We Hoped For are almost all done & the video-poem for the Sky Canoe is shaping up. What a great summer!

ArtsWells

Looks like I'll be reading at ArtsWells in the Downstairs Hall, Sunday, Aug 5 at noon. Should be fun!

PG Arts & Cultural Award (part 2)

I was very surprised to win the PG Regional Arts & Cultural Award for poetry. I was recognized for both understories & The Picket Fence Diaries.
